Behind the Name:

Since this is a journal strap, a journal/notebook being something you write in, I thought it would be appropriate to name this piece after the creator of the Cherokee Syllabary, Sequoyah. Sequoyah is one of the most influential figures in Cherokee history. He created a written language for the Cherokee, breaking down the various spoken sounds into 85 characters. His work helped preserve and advance the Cherokee language. The Sequoyah Journal Strap is my homage to an important ancestor.

  • Products are handmade to order. Each piece is unique and will have slight variations. No two pieces are the same, even from the same hide. Because free-roaming bison is used, it can contain range marks, scratches, scars, sores, and may have dark blotches. Most large marks are not used.

All products are made from full-grain bison leather, from American bison. All thread used is Ritza Tiger Thread. Hardware is sourced from various places at the moment.
