Behind the Name:
The YLG Leaf Cherokee Earrings honor my paternal family, proud Cherokee citizens. The Cherokee Nation possesses a strong language and even its own syllabary (85 different characters that represent sounds). To learn more visit Cherokee Language for more information.
The purpose of these earrings is to help preserve and further the Cherokee language. The beads on these earrings are arranged in a similar pattern to the Cherokee flag. The flag features an orange background, green/black braid, Cherokee Nation seal, seven yellow seven-pointed stars, and one seven-pointed black star. The yellow stars represent the seven clans of the Cherokee and the black star represents those lost on the Trail of Tears. The YLG Leaf Cherokee earrings are feature orange beads, with seven yellow beads and one black bead.
These earrings are priced a little higher than other earrings but $20 from every pair will go to Cherokee Language Fund. We are dedicated to preserving our language and heritage.

Products are handmade to order. Each piece is unique and will have slight variations. No two pieces are the same, even from the same hide. Because free-roaming bison is used, it can contain range marks, scratches, scars, sores, and may have dark blotches. Most large marks are not used.
All products are made from full-grain bison leather, from American bison. All thread used is Ritza Tiger Thread. Hardware is sourced from various places at the moment.
