Behind the Name:
The Shire Bookmark is named for one of my favorite locations, fictional, but favorite. The Shire is the home of the hobbits from the J.R.R. Tolkien books The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. The Shire is a peaceful, modest bit of Middle-Earth where not much goes on. For me, I imagine it as a little piece of paradise where one can relax, work the land, explore, and just exist without too much worry or stress. The Shire has always been my little piece of mind escape when I need a bit of happiness.

The Shire Bookmark
Products are handmade to order. Each piece is unique and will have slight variations. No two pieces are the same, even from the same hide. Because free-roaming bison is used, it can contain range marks, scratches, scars, sores, and may have dark blotches. Most large marks are not used.
All products are made from full-grain bison leather, from American bison. All thread used is Ritza Tiger Thread. Hardware is sourced from various places at the moment.
